Re: MORNING THERAPY FOR VETERANS

Post by pinger on Mon 19 Sep 2016, 23:45

Hello all . . .

Came across something in my shytehouse poetry of memories that's still pretty relevant these days.
I apoligize... It is not Canadian Club but kudo's to George Carlin R.I.P. because it sure as hell rhymes to me.

I bleeped the bad words as best I could .

There's a reason that education sucks, and itís the same reason it will never ever ever be fixed. Itís never going to get any better, donít look for it. Be happy with what youíve got. Because the owners of this country donít want that. Iím talking about the real owners now, the big, wealthy, business interests that control all things and make the big decisions.

Forget the politicians, theyíre irrelevant.

Politicians are put there to give you that idea that you have freedom of choice. You donít. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land, they own and control the corporations, and theyíve long since bought and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the State Houses, and the City Halls. Theyíve got the judges in their back pockets. And they own all the big media companies so they control just about all the news and information you get to hear.

Theyíve got you by the balls.

They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want; they want more for themselves and less for everybody else. But Iíll tell you what they donít wantóthey donít want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They donít want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. Theyíre not interested in that. That doesnít help them. Thatís against their interest. You know something, they donít want people that are smart enough to sit around their kitchen table and figure out how badly theyíre getting fracked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fracking years ago.

They donít want that, you know what they want?

They want obedient workers, obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it. (INSERT CPP HERE)

And now theyíre coming for your social security money.

They want your fracking retirement money; they want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street. And you know something? Theyíll get it. Theyíll get it all from you sooner or later because they own this fracking place. Itís a big club and you ainít in it! You and I are not in the Big Club. By the way, itís the same big club they use to beat you in the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to believe, what to think and what to buy.

The table is tilted folks, the game is rigged.

Nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. Good honest hard working people, white collar, blue collar, it doesnít matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard working people continue, these are people of modest means, continue to elect these rich xxxx xxxxxx who donít give a frack about them. They donít give a frack about you. They donít give a frack aboutÖgive a frack about you! They donít care about you at all, at all, at all.

And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care.

Thatís what the owners count on, the fact that Americans are and will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white, and blue dxxx thatís being jammed up their arseholes everyday. Because the owners of this country know the truth, itís called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.

My latest Blues Solo

Satisfy Me
Mind your manners
Watch your Pís n Qís
Cause where you put them hands
Is about playin or singin the blues
Now youíve been blessed
Surely well endowed
But failing to satisfy me
Be told by any crowd
Iíve been good to many
But you I want to impress
Tune me up tune me out
Itís the music you gotta express
Learning five positions
Means you ainít no crackerjack
I need a whole lot of loving
To keep me on my back
See, fingers got to move in unison
Lightning quick, no phony tricks
Prove Iím not a One-Trick Pony
Best be mastering your licks
You can pull my strings
Call me Les or even Paul
But if you canít satisfy me
You ainít nuthin at all.

Murky Waters
Some time ago a violent storm ripped through my town
There was no time to react let alone batten down
Taken by surprise I lay motionless cowering on the ground
Overcome by fear I made not a sound.
Eventually torment burrows deep inside
Fermenting tears of shame I never once cried
A smile on my face was contentment implied
To turn off my emotions meant less to confide.
While many befriended the fiend
Accepting its conquest is something I never dreamed
Unnoticed within murky waters life went on so it seemed
Unimportance became the ears that never heard my silent screams.
Time will pass my murky waters eventually recede
Exposing a soul of emptiness I truly will concede
Distant from any storm insinuates Iíve been freed
Clearer waters reveal what I truly need.
Here I am, firmly grounded on my very own two feet
Choosing never to drown in misery or admit to defeat
Away with the storm that tore apart what was never complete
Rebuilding me is something pain will not cheat.
Try not to restore what you cannot mend
Understand this life is new, just be a friend
My murky waters are not yours to pity or defend
Be open to my silent screams that you must comprehend.

Vimy is a must see monument. Just wish there was poppies growing all around it.
