Thank you so much Widow of Veteran, it's been a hell of a ride so far. I wish you all the best and good luck next month.

So sad that so many like you have been cheated this way for so many years.

I look at it this way WoV, I may have been cheated for many years but there are so many in this world that are less fortunate then I am. I've waited 26 years, another few months won't make much of a difference. No matter what I receive, I will be forever grateful to DM and his/our legal team. In my opinion, without them, we would be receiving nothing.

23 years for me TheCarker...the trouble with waiting is trying to plan and going on no information. Manulife simply said "you are in for a nice surprise"...no rates or dates, minus some scattered employment and Cpp D. So I know, taxes and fees aside, I will do quite well. It's just that I am homeless on the 16 of August, with two kids in post-secondary education etc. Not complaining just having trouble planning is all.

Sapper, I never had the privilege of having a family but I understand the headaches you must have, because I have friends with children and the troubles and trials they have. Knowing you have funds coming but not knowing when, it's next to impossible to plan anything. If I knew that I was going to receive my funds next month and you weren't and I could put you ahead of me, I would in a heart beat.
I wish you all the best and good luck next month.

Hey thanks for the nice note. As my good wife says...it will all come out in the wash. Knowing the kids are OK, I know we can stay with family if we must to buy some time. Good luck in the next draw!

Nothing, 11 years over 200,000 owed. As everyone we could use with it. Promised our Dad a nice deck this summer. We have a 5 ft deck. He lives with us He had a horrific fall last week. Thank goodness he survived but has brought him quite low and he is 83 year old RCMP vet. He always wanted a nice big deck, loves the sun and we have his horses behind our home. I so thought it would be built this summer. I just can't beleive this. Kept my cool until his fall and our promise. Check back in August.

I just received my retro today ~ I can not say how pleasantly surprised I was at the amount. Without going into exact numbers, I was med released  Feb 2006 as a Cpl, no superannuation due to less than 10 years service,  only CPP D and DVA ~ I was not expecting to be in the bracket group on this thread with net amount but I was. Legal fees where in my opinion more than fair ~ taxes were very high ~ I just wanted you to know for your own peace of mind and I know there are a few members in my release date time frame who were wondering about their return amounts. If you have any specific questions I can answer them via pm. Hang in there friends, it will be worth the wait in the end.

Some times I think aim in the wrong group when you talk about getting 6 or more years back, when I thought the first fight was just getting the 24 months owed because of zero sum, man I wish I was in the loop
