rifleman im not sure I can answer that question with 100% certainty but what I can tell you is that a few in my area including myself applied for these benefits not that long ago and in every case those that got the PIA got the supplement. looking at the criteria for each I don't think its automatic but it seems to be working out that way.

Yes.

However, keep in mind that you will only receive the pia supplement from the effective date recognized by VAC, and not from the time of disability. Retro does not exist within the veterans charter. This is likely to confirm and also weed out the fakes.

Now the fun part..if u have applied for CPP-disability prior to pia supplement, you WILL owe every dime deemed Sisip's.

Although all three departments; Sisip, Service Canada(CPP-d), and VAC are governed by GOC, they do not work together.

Enjoy the lack of standard! Being deemed TPI by one department means nothing to the next per say.
