I'm betting that the likely response will be, that they need more time to study the recommendations, due to the fact that the MVA is new, and has not had enough time to study all the reports. That should buy them enough time to make any announcements just before the election is called. But even if they do announce proposed improvements, they will likely say that they hinge on going through the democratic process (ie debated and voted upon in the HoC several times, studied at committee, studied by the senate, and ultimately requiring royal assent). But with the election pending, it will only die on the order paper anyways, and therefor completely worthless.

Jan 30th - 2015 - is the expected date for MVA O'Toole to respond to recommendations

Tomorrow Friday Jan 30th is when the government is expected to respond to recommendations that the House of Commons Veterans Affairs committee issued last June, dealing with improvements to the controversial New Veterans Charter, including increasing the disability award provided to veterans and improving how injured soldiers are handled by the bureaucracy.

We will see what happens here.
