Interesting indeed, Mr. O'Toole is aware and working on it, it will be interesting to hear how he is going to fix this without hiring more managers, he seems to know what his doing, so will see how this one unfolds.

I had my VIP yearly update yesterday over the phone and was told us pension act guys because we are grandfathered will not be needing yearly updates . She told me 3-5 years contact for VIP will be the new norm for PA guys unless something drastic changes.

I have a feeling my cm's gone too. She was too good. Gotta go to my D.O. soon and I'll find out.
Also, where their office is here, the inside is always quiet as a crypt(?). Maybe their on skeleton crew or a 2 - 3 day work week because the parking lot looks that way too.

Anyway, what caught my eye in that article was... "The department is moving away from a system that purely targets case manager-to-veteran ratios.
It is moving toward a caseload points-scale system that takes into account risk, complexity and intensity measures, the department said in response to a parliamentary query from Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau."

Like a change of methodology or approach... veteran-centric? I don't care what its gonna look like! As long as it's effective and works for veterans. If they keep re-inventing the wheel, here's hoping it's an improvement and because of changing times. pinger.

Wonderful, now they are making things more complicated with less staff. Time to be the squeeky wheel or else your file will be collecting dust in an abandoned VAC office.

I find it quite frustrating, my CM works out of the Victoria office, in 15 years out I have had virtually zero contact. You phone the 1-800 call screening and don't get past the gate and if you do you do not know who or what my CM looks or sounds like because never have the same one nor do any call and check up.
