I hear ya propat, kind of like splitting hairs.

Reminds me of other Policy Documents, it's not enough to tear the words (loopholes) apart.
It's more like a great big pit full of snakes (words).

Finally got my decision letter, yup just under 3 weeks Rifleman.
But I pass along one of the lines in Reasons for Decision.

" Since the time of that decision, (prior denial) there has been a regulatory change which expanded the definition of "a permanent and severe impairment" to include "a severe and permanent limitation in mobility and self-care"  "

There you have it folks, and there's your horseshoe Bigrex.

Thanks for the heads up Rifleman. Over 3 weeks wow, whatever happened to 7 - 10 business days?

I do not have a "my vac account" Bigrex nor do I ever wish to. The only giveaway for me was my wacko bank acct and an 866 inquiry. Just peeves me off that there's a missing letter floating around out there with my personal stuff in it.

But if your waiting... I lend you my horseshoe rex.

Bigrex it showed up in my vac account as soon as the decision was made because that's how I knew what level I got for pia before I got anything from vac

here is a question. I know VAC my account shows your benefits, so did yours show the PIA amount right away, or did that also take several weeks to be updated? I'm just wondering, because I may start checking mine more often, while waiting for the decision on my PIA reassessment.

866 said they mailed the decision letter to me 1st of June.
I have still not got it to date June 15. Phoned 866 again today and a good gal concurred I should have got it.
Their going to mail it to me a second time.  My Q is where's the first letter?

This is sensitive, confidential, and personal crap.

Archives Canada did the same thing for my military records I requested... they were lost in the freaking mail. Got it the second time round mailed to me.

Forgoing any VAC account, VAC should DEFINITELY register mail us sensitive  correspondence if convenient for US.

How long did it take for you to receive your decision letter Brucey ?

ya nemo after I got the applications I filled them out and sent them in. I applied for the rehab program ELB PIA and sup all at the same time . before my CM sent them any further she came to see me to go over them and develop a rehab plan . my rehab plan was to keep seeing the people I'm seeing . you will need a goal for your rehab plan that's important . your goal can be to walk so far with less pain as an example .

you don't need to finish rehab to be approved for the rest I'm still in rehab and been collecting PIA and sup for a long time now .

it takes some time but its really not that difficult .

Congrats Sapper. It's looking better and better for my reassessment. I can't recall anyone in recent months getting denied for PIA, and a couple have even reported getting higher than the minimum on their first application.

Sapper, where does you CM come from? Surely not Victoria, I have been trying for months to get help and nothing. Congrats on your successes you deserve some better times. We will have to meet up some time and shoot the shit. Cheers.

I had my CM fill it with me in my kitchen one morning. Then I got approved for rehab. Then upon completion of rehab, I started to receive the PIA and now today what I assume is the supplement was depositted. But to answer your question, yes you can fill it in online and anyone at VAC can go over it for you. Good Luck.

Congrats back to you for being approved PIA 2 Sapper!

I'm still waiting for my decision letter as well but in the I meantime called 866 and found out I'm grade 3.

My PIA, Supp, and retro were all in one deposit. Perhaps some are separated.
But just call the 866 number in the morning Sapper, they will be able to explain the other sum.

Stay well all...
