Are you on ltd for life trooper because eelb would have to be a life pension. What would be saved not paying the insurance company would cover every disabled vet for life. think of the billions they made off us.

Well why not keep it and make it work the way it was intended to? As Ive said before Id scrap everything we have now go back to old system pre 99 and make SISIP do what it was supposed to do. We would all be better off and troops would have good moral knowing that they would be taken care of if they get hurt. Manulife works just fine for civi street why did it fail for us....fix that part (which SISIP Class action did) and now start again.

It's of no surprise that most want it removed...for me it's a personal choice of what works best for me in my own position...they both have pros an cons ....I guess one has to look at it in the way that suits them best.

EELB is easier to get on, because they look at the entire picture, including non pensioned conditions, while SISIP only looks at whether or not the condition that prompted your medical release creates a total disability. Also, it does not restrict application for benefits to just the first 24 months after your medical release. So even though both programs are pretty much identical, it's the administration of the program that is vastly different, and is why I personally think SISIP needs to go by the way of the Dinosaurs.
