6608 their is nothing and I mean nothing in their policy that even remotely hints they can deduct ELB you may want to be calling them and telling them to sort it out .

Teen I hear you.

But seas comments where uncalled for.  Maybe his life is perfect and good on him but other vets included me have faced a lot of challenges from numerous pit falls that include family break ups, mental health challenges, health related problems due to services, and normal life challenges.... many more.   I don't need a guy to tell me to suck it up buttercup then lecture me on history. I have sucked up lots in my service just like anyone else..
Some days I am up and some days I am down. If you only knew what I went thru last night you would understand but I am not even going to explain it or admit to it.  I am trying to suck it up still butter cup.

steelgunner just to let you know not one veteran organization signed off on the NVC. The NVC was about to be approved when a senator said "What do veteran orgs think of this?"
So 6 orgs, Legion included, were all briefed one at a time but they only got the briefing if they signed a confidentiality agreement not to discuss it with the organization.

In other words it was stuffed down the throats of all CF from 1 April 2006 forward.

Increase or raise either way your comment is correct NVC vets are getting short changed compared to PA vets.

PA vets of WW2 had crown land sold dirt cheap, lifelong 3% mortgage, free university schooling (WW2 supplied the greatest number of doctors, lawyers, dentists), priority hiring, small business loans etc

As time went on these benefits were reduced/removed. So let's look at a WW2 vets sitting with Korean vets at the Legion. They didn't get the benefits and most of all they were not even recognized as vets because it was a "police action" war.

I'm PA and since 1 April 2006 I have fought to get rid of it. This is what the gov't wants lots of categories of veterans because each 'era' of veterans had different personnel protective equipment, transportation, warfare so in their (bureaucrats) felt the benefits needed to be reduced.

All above said until NVC vets get better financial security we can't stop fighting the government and bureaucrats to pony up.

Well it would seem that the ELB increase for us duel SISIP clients that were excepted recently for EELB doesn't really matter, just checked my bank account (royal) and my LTD amount appears to be reduced by the same amount as my new EELB payment go figure.

Cheers

I released onto the NVC it sounds ok on paper, but the "eligibility " and approval is baffling and ridiculous. It's like brushing your teeth with oreo's.

What's your point buttercup?  Now we our counting troops.  It was 45k in Afghan which we were both part of.

Legion sold out and gave the  NVC their stamp of approval in 2006. I am not accepting it totally, I joined with the PA, and left with a lump sum.

So what is your point, I should accept your mighty acceptance of the non PA?
