Found this quoted on the MVA page.
Hello kent, what should we talk about tonight. Lets do income you make almost 5000 dollars a week almost 20,000 a month you have a car and a driver, expenses all on the tax payer, plus loads of freebees correct. at the end of four years with what the good people of Calgary paid you when you left your position out there for Ottawa what was that hundreds of thousands, anyway and what the Canadian tax payer pays you that will be well over a million dollars in your account. When my elb gets cut off because im refusing to be bullied no more by the vac machine, i will make close to the same in one year as you make in one month and thats with 30 percent pa and tiny service pension and im one of the lucky one's go figure. How would you like it if you had to have an assessment from your shooter on a regular basses before you could receive what is owed to you, and if you refused sorry your not playing my game your cut off. that would tear the guts right out of you would it not? You starting to understand yet how important the PA is to veterans and the peace of mine that comes with it. Over six thousand employees at veterans affairs all making great salarys great pensions past and present not including the stuff contracted out. This is all at the expense of the veterans pain and suffering the more paperwork the more guaranteed and secure their jobs and in the end their pensions all while disabled veterans receive a tiny lump sum for their crippling injury's under NVC and left to fend for themselves, that is if they have the mental capacity to even fight and win their case for the tiny lump sum if not to bad so sad try try again mean while there is a street corner with your name on it. Veterans wrote a blank check up to and including their life to protect Canadians. All you politicians and bureacrats are is self serving shame shame shame how can you's look at yourselves in the mirror. Your vac machine is eating up the money that is suppose to go to disabled veterans by means of the pension act for DISABLED VETERANS!!! Love these talks don't you kent educates the public of what is really going on not what you's spin in the media...

solve this simple problem....please....concrete not patch work

To whoever the writer is posting this on our MVA's facebook, they need to understand that Kent knows only the basics of our file, I doubt he even knows the full details on the difference between the PA and the NVC.
His term is limited to only four years, unless he gets moved into another position, shorter than four years.
He is absolutely Ignorant to the fact of learning our file, standing up to those delegated by him, the (bureaucrats), and is enjoying his time being in the limelight in this position he now holds.
Don't expect to much from this individual, he will fulfill his mandate given to him by the PM, and the bureaucrats will write up the legislation surrounding the mandate letter.
Talking with this guy, trying to propose or suggest things that will benefit Veterans is a waste of time.
He is not going to go over and beyond what's detailed in that mandate letter, he will continue to travel the Countryside giving the perception that the Liberals are looking after the well being of all Veterans and their families.
We are stuck with him, I say Ignore him and his heartless bureaucrats, Ignore the summits and Ignore the advisory groups, Advocate outside these venues.
Educate the public through the media on what is really happening here, submit for a public inquiry, countermeasure the government by showing the general public that Veterans are not being looked after in the way the government makes it appear.

DE-cruiting
Veterans are de-cruiting the Canadian Armed Forces. We do not stand-alone. Other organizations and individuals are making their own efforts to “de-cruit” and educate potential recruits to the dangers and pitfalls … of Veteran Affairs Canada.

We, as disabled veterans and spouses, widows and family of disabled veterans, cannot, with good conscience, encourage anyone to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. Pensions, benefits and services have been, and continue to be, eroded by bureaucrats and politicians. Senior bureaucrats and politicians have undermined veterans’ cohesiveness and reliability through “stakeholder” meetings. The structure and methods of these meetings resemble manufactured consent instead of appropriate consultation with the actual clients of Veteran Affairs Canada. Consulting with Veteran Organizations does not constitute “consultation” because many of these organizations have accepted federal monies and may face a conflict of interest. Besides, veteran organizations are not clients of VAC: disabled veterans, their spouses, widows, and families are.

Make no mistake, we respect and care for our military and that is why we are de-cruiting the Canadian Armed Forces. By undermining veterans senior bureaucrats and politicians are sapping military morale. The constant and consistent erosion of veterans’ pensions, benefits, and services means that those serving and those considering a military career are in danger – from bureaucrats and our politicians.

We are the voices of experience and reality. Do not join the Canadian Armed Forces until lifetime pensions, in accordance with the Pension Act, are fully and retroactively reinstated. Serve Canada, not political partisanship.

My apology is in order. You see... I really felt the MVA would've been axed a few months back.
Now it almost seems like a very watchful GoC vs Cdn. Public Mexican standoff.
Next April beckons. Just a thought.

Pinger,

In my opinion the only way will ever see our Minister moved would be in a case where public protest has gotten so loud, and so widespread and continuous, that would in my opinion, force the PM to remove or move him out of our file.

You see all he has to do is work on that mandate letter, and that is all the PM needs to see.
People may not like our MVA, but his one smart cookie when it comes to providing perception.
He knows exactly what is required to do, and his doing just that, he is doing exactly what was detailed to him by the PM.

Public image is one thing the PM strives on, he wants to be the poster boy of not only the Country, but around the world.
There's enough disabled Veterans in this Country that if they wanted to unite in destroying the PM's public image, they could.
But that doesn't seem to be on the minds of the majority of disabled Veterans.
So it will be the status quo, more back and forth between the Veterans and our MVA and his team of bureaucrats.
This is exactly what our MVA and his team of bureaucrats want, this way, they continue to have full control, and rule things the way they see it.

Staying on topic I watched this original cpac Q period again...
When the MVA speaks it's just the same old repetitive 5.6B verbal diarrhea to me.
(He is better than my budgie though)

Now I do not discount a very few positive inroads under him and JT . but if the MVA was more evenly keeled and PUBLICLY sincere of what we and our FILE lacks and what VaC's doing (like a positive timeline) he'd be a tad more credible to me.

History repeats itself... Sad
