TPI - CVVRS

Post by Yump5555 on Fri 27 Jan 2017, 23:29

I am in the process if applying for TPI status but my CM advised that she has to send my file to a 3rd Party for Veteran Affairs called CVVRS. I was of the impression that VAC made the decision on TPI status. Anyone here of this before?

It's the organization that is contracted to run the Vocational rehab program, and it used to be called Canvet. They have specialists in place that determine what jobs you are geared towards, based on your military training and experience, and meet your medical limitations. So I believe now, they also have to determine if you are even able to rejoin the workforce. I've been TPI for around 5 years, and all I had to do was have a functionality test conducted by an OT, that was set up by my CM. But when my wife started the process of going back to school, since I couldn't, she had to go through these yahoos, and undergo several aptitude tests and a physical to see if she had any medical limitations.

Bigrex - that is interesting what yump said. I went Thur the same process with CanVet as you, with all the assessments. But one would hope that they have left the final TPI decision between the CM, and head office. Johnny Out,,VVV

Welcome Yumpy,  It's all good here.

You were inquiring about tpi. You got some kind of cm right ?

" There is be no real wait time for a TPI decision. If you have all the doc reports, your CM can bring it to the panel in your local office to make the decision within a week. "

Hope that clears a wee bit of mud yump5555
