About 60 motorcyclists rolled into Thunder Bay’s Terry Fox Visitor Information Centre on Saturday evening as part of a cross-country ride to raise awareness and funds for Canadian veterans, active military and emergency service workers who are combatting post-traumatic stress disorder.

Despite rain and road construction delaying them for about an hour, motorcyclists on a coast-to-coast fundraising tour in support of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) programs for veterans, active military and emergency workers rolled into Thunder Bay on Saturday evening.

Members of the Rolling Barrage are on their inaugural two-week countrywide tour, which began Aug. 5 in Newfoundland and is scheduled to end Aug. 20 in Victoria, B.C., raising funds for support programs through an organization called Military Minds Inc. Money is largely being raised through rider registrations and T-shirt sales.

The ride is open to all active service members and veterans from the Canadian military as well as first responders, law enforcement and the broader motorcycle community.
